The first Dub Flash Newsletter in 2011 is also the last Dub Flash Newsletter ever. Due to Facebook and everything, a newsletter somewhat became obsolete. Also, there is nothing much I could tell you about Dub Flash anymore.

The Dub Information Portal will be archived by the end of the month. I will no longer update this original Dub Flash content. 13 years is enough. The reviews and some other stuff will still be available for reading, but most stuff is already offline by now. The website will go back from 2.0 (blog) to 1.9 (static).

Dub Flash Records suffers from the bankruptcy of the Dub Flash Distribution. A massive decrease in sales (none actually) caused me to give up. The webshop has a final sale for quite a while already. There is still much left though, so the interest in my offers remain low as it seems. The shop will stay online, but it will not be updated anymore.

Because I have so much music waiting to be released, but no money to press it on vinyl, there is now a new netlabel: Whimsical Music. You will find the first (free) release online from 1st June on. It is an angry label which shall bring you the meanest and most insane dub-related music you ever heard. Or maybe I am just talking bollocks again. Who knows.

Dub Mash... well, it is not officially closed, but I do not know when I will make the next show.

My DJ ´´career`` officially ended on the Dub Camp Festival 2010. I already rejected several requests ever since. MoonBass Hi+Fi still continues and I will continue my support for them. But for all info about that, you will need to go to www.moonbass.de.

So, what else is to say? This is only a newsletter and not the end of the world. Dub Flash may be archived, but I will always be Dub Flash nonetheless. I do not quit the whole thing. Just parts of it. There will still be the label and the radioshow. Maybe. If I win in Lotto, I promise to immediately release DFR011.

Thanks for keeping the faith during all these years. Only a very tiny amount of people unsubscribed from this newsletter. So thanks for your loyalty as well. I know this newsletter is not the right place to complain or show negative emotions. But it always hits the wrong ones, you know... And I did not want to simply leave without a word. That would not be friendly.

I want to finish this newsletter with a quote from my favourite Finnish football player, Petri Pasanen. I think it is perfect in every way (free translation into English by me):

´´The reaction of the fans shows that I managed to achieve something noticable during the last [...] years, that the people identified with me. Or maybe they just partied that I am gone. After all, I am leaving and everyone is in a good mood.``
