Finally out with our friends of the excellent WERK DISCS label from London is the "FOUNDATION BIT" album by disrupt on CD. It features 10 tracks, most of them older Jahtari classics in re-worked and improved versions (mainly from "Roots Matrix", "Jah Bit Invasion" and loads of NET-7"s) plus two new and previously unreleased tracks, "True Creators" and "Selassi I Continually". "Selassi I" comes in a very different, more rootsy version here than on our previous "Jahtarian Dubbers" compilation.

In the end a mighty fine mix that presents an highly entertaining and diverse retrospective of the Jahtari sound so far as well gives an outlook of what's to come in the future. All mastered for maximum, speaker-shaking Dubness by Duplate + Mastering Berlin, by the way.

The album will be followed up by the four part WERK-10" series, bringing most of these tunes to the lovely wax as well later on. So after the highly sought-after "Tubby ROM Module" / "Foundation Bit"- 12inch WERK015 lots more chances to clog up your record shelf. Keep an eye out!
